The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has also called for a strict enforcement of the lockdown to prevent congregations of all kinds to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic. Addressing a press conference on Monday, representatives of the PMA including President Dr Abdul Wahid Abbasi, Dr Muhammad Usaman Mako, Dr Zulifqar Soomro. Dr Iftikhar Shah, called upon the government to involve (in its task force) health experts from public sector medical universities/hospitals and organisations of doctors actively fighting the deadly virus.
“We kept quiet and were avoiding to give our opinion as government was taking steps to save the country from deadly effects of coronavirus, but now the cases are in thousands which is alarming,” they said. Highlighting the gaps in the government strategy on Covid-19 and sharing suggestions, they said the government must reflect why the numbers of coronavirus cases were growing despite the lockdown, reported APP.
Meanwhile, the total tally of confirmed coronavirus cases has increased to 13328 on Monday morning with 281 reported deaths and 3029 recoveries. Punjab remains the worst-hit with 5446 cases followed by Sindh 5615, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1864, Gilgit Baltistan 318, Islamabad 245 and Pakistan Administered Kashmir with 59 cases.

What to know about Dalgona coffee, the viral drink everyone's making during coronavirus

As many people are staying home and practicing social distancing to help slow the spread of the new coronavirus, it's become less common to go out for a beautifully poured latte from a local coffee shop.  But another coffee drink is popping up across Instagram stories and Twitter feeds with the hashtag #daglonacoffeechallenge.  The two-layered drink called dalgona coffee has taken the internet by storm.  Julia Peters owns Peixoto Coffee Roasters, a coffee shop in Chandler that specializes in high-quality beans and espresso drinks. She first heard of the dalgona coffee trend from a local food blogger, followed by customers asking about the whipped coffee drink. "I think it's very visually pleasing," Peters says. "It's very beautiful with the luscious coffee-infused syrup."  What is dalgona coffee? Dalgona coffee has four main ingredients: instant coffee , sugar, hot water and milk. These ingredients are made into two layers: milk and a...

Forgiveness

Forgiveness has three aspects:  To forgive anyone for having wronged  To ask for forgiveness from the one whom we have  To forgive yourself Of the three, I believe that the last one is the hardest. Forgiving those who seemed to have wronged us is better than asking for forgiveness. With the passage of time when the initial pain they caused us starts to become dull and distant and because we see they do not repeat their old habits, because we see that there is a genuine change in them, and that they apologise and seek us for forgiveness enthusiastically, excited and genuinely we find it more convenient to forgive them. It's better to give them a second chance. We replay all the memories of the good times with them in our heads and use this positivity to cancel out one or two actions of negativity they have done. With the passage of time, and with changing circumstances, and with them and ourselves changing, this is the simplest and perhaps the easies...

Best Foods to Boost Your Eye Health

You've likely been told at one time or another that if you want healthy eyes, you need to eat carrots. And while the old adage has some truth to it because the beta carotene in carrots is converted into vitamin A (a vitamin that is needed for optimum eye health). There are other, and perhaps even better foods to eat. Here are some of those foods:  1. Spinach pexels.com Spinach as well as other dark, leafy greens like kale contain two antioxidants stored in the macula which is that part of the retina that shields the eye from damaging light. These antioxidants are lutein and zeaxanthin. Lutein is a deep yellow pigment found in the leaves of plants and zeaxanthin a carotenoid found in the retina of the eye and in many plants like spinach. And since the eye has a particularly high metabolic rate-as in, they use a lot of energy— there is an added need for antioxidant protection. 2. Red Peppers pexels.com Red peppers are not just a vegetable to make your throat burn, no...
